At Moment in Time Dance Company, we offer a wide range of dance classes designed to inspire students of all ages, skill levels, and experience! From our youngest dancers in the PreK group to our seasoned Senior Competition Group, we pride ourselves on having something for everyone here at Moment in Time.
Classes
Our classes cover a range of styles including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Pom, Musical Theater, and beyond. We also offer opportunities for our dancers in technique specific classes, solo/duet/trio routines, and other special opportunities to perform. Each class is carefully crafted to build confidence and showcase individual talent.
We also take into consideration every families commitment level, budget, and unique interests when crafting our programs. If you wish it – we can make it happen. We strongly believe that everyone deserves a chance to dance!
THE CLASSES
PRE-K
For our tiniest and mightiest dancers ages 2 – 4: this class is designed to be about FUN!
Pre-K dancers learn the basics of ballet, acrobatics, tap and jazz. This group will learn 1 tap routine, 1 jazz routine, and 2 all company numbers for recitals and performances.
This group has 1 rehearsal per week for 45 minutes.
MINIS
For dancers ages 5-6: this class is designed to prepare students for the next level! We focus on memorization, technique, and teaching skills.
These dancers learn the basics of ballet, acrobatics, tap and jazz. This group will learn 1 tap routine, 1 jazz routine, and 2 all company numbers for recitals and performances.
This group has 1 rehearsal per week for 45-minutes.
RECREATION LINE
For those new to dance, wanting a simple commitment, the most affordable dance option, or those in lots of after-school activities: this is the group for you!
Dancers will learn skills in tap, jazz, and acrobatics.
Two Recreational Groups divided by age will learn 1 jazz routine, 1 tap routine, and 2 all company numbers for recital and performances with 1 optional competition each season.
These groups have 1 rehearsal per week for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
COMPETITION LINE
Our competition dancers ages 7-18 will be divided into 5 different groups based off of age, skill level, and experience (though no dance experience is required to be on our competition teams!).
These groups do it all: technique, jazz, hip hop, ballet, tap, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater and more! These dancers learn and compete a tap and jazz routine, perform a mother/daughter routine, father/daughter routine, 2 all company numbers, and a hip hop routine.
These groups have up to 3 rehearsals per week.

SOLOS/DUOS/TRIOS
Referred to as “Select” routines and dances, any dancer in our Competition or Recreation groups can do a solo, duet, or trio: no audition required.
Custom routines from the genre selection, choreography, costume, and dancer: these routines are highly sought after. Select dances are carefully crafted to highlight each dancer to ensure their confidence growth and success throughout the season! Dancers have the opportunity to compete and perform these routines.
PRODUCTION
Open to our Recreation and Competition Line Dancers, this is a large scale performance piece that combines multiple age groups, dance styles, and theatrical storytelling elements into one cohesive production.
