Moment in Time Dance Company

Welcome to Moment in Time Dance Company, where our dancers find their moment that time stands still. Our studio offers a diverse range of classes for ages 3 to 18, running from September to June each year. We pride ourselves on our Holiday and Spring Recital Performances, as well as participating in 4 nationally recognized competitions per season, and attending a National Championship competition. You’ll also see us at the local nursing homes, the Winter Festival, and at a Minnesota Timberwolves game performing our dances each year.

Our instructors bring extensive experience in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, contemporary, high kick, and more. Our Wadena Area Dance Studio is dedicated to providing our students with an exceptional dance education across various disciplines.

Located in Wadena, we proudly serve the communities of Henning, Bertha, Ottertail, Sebeka, Staples, Verndale, Aldrich, Deer Creek, Perham, New York Mills, Parkers Prairie, and beyond – we serve over 14 different schools – welcoming dancers from near and far to join our dance family. THE CLASSES

Pre-K

The Pre-K Class (for dancers ages 2-4) is all about fun! We learn the basics of tumbling, jazz, tap, and ballet. Pre-K dancers learn 4 dances, perform up to 6 times, and find their love for dance!

Mini

The Mini Group (for dancers ages 5-6) is all about growing dancers to get them ready for the next level! Mini dancers focus on memorization, technique in jazz, ballet, tap, acrobatics, and beyond. These dancers learn 4 routines throughout the season and perform up to 6 times!

Events

Available to all of our dancers, guests, and beyond! We cater our one-on-one private lessons to the dancer: whether it is fine-tuning skills, cleaning a routine, growing in technique, flexibility, and more – we do it all!

We have experience in bachelorette parties, wedding dance choreography, flash mob style dances and more. You dream it, believe it, and together we will achieve it!

Recreation

Designed for those ages 7-18, new to dance, desiring a low time-commitment, and the best investment option. These dancers learn the basics of tap, jazz, and acrobatics. Recreation dancers have the option to compete 1 time per season, participate in recitals, and grow their skill set!

Competition

These dancers ages 7-18 do it all: a jazz and tap routine to compete at 4 competitions, mother/daughter, father/daughter, hip hop for a Timberwolves Game Performance, 2 all company numbers, and the opportunity to compete at a National Championship Competition!

Select

Select Routines: Solos, Duos, and Trios are encouraged for all Recreation and Competition Line dancers. No audition required! These custom routines, costumes, and choreography are carefully crafted to highlight our dancers.
